JEE Main 2018 – Offline Examination

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has announced the dates for JEE Mains 2018 examination. As per the announcement, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2018 will be held in pen-paper based (offline) mode on April 8. However, the dates for the online mode have not been announced. Every year, CBSE conducts the main exam while the JEE Advanced, this year, will be organised by IIT Kanpur. 

CBSE conducts JEE Main examination for admissions to various engineering courses in IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs. Admissions to NITs is done on the basis of the JEE Main ranks. Students who are planning for getting admissions to IITs need to clear JEE Main 2018 examination. This year, 2,24,000 candidates would be shortlisted for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018. Joint Academic Board, JAB has already released the dates for JEE Advanced 2018 which will be conducted on 20th May 2018. Online applications for JEE Advanced would start after the results of JEE Main 2018 are released. Students are required to fill JEE Main 2018 online application forms which will start in 3rd week of November. All those aspirants who are waiting for the JEE Main 2018 application forms have to remember that since last year, CBSE has made Aadhaar number mandatory for JEE Main and NEET and other examinations. Therefore, it is advisable to apply for the Aadhaar card, if not done yet.
