Major competitive exams like JEE Advanced, BITSAT, VITEEE, Manipal, AIIMS & JIPMER will be conducted in Online-Only mode in 2018.
Below are some common benefits of Online Computer Based Examinations.
There is no need to fill any OMR. Students just need to tick the correct option on the computer screen.
2. Corrections in Answer
Students can change the answer even after submitting. This is not possible in OMR once an option is marked since OMR has to be filled by pen only. If there is any doubt in the submitted answer, students can unattempt the question or mark the question for later review and access such questions anytime later in the paper.
3. Enough Rough Space
Students get more rough space in online exam. Separate blank rough sheets are also provided. In offline mode rough space given on question paper is not sufficient.
4. Excellent Exam Environment
Students get good air-conditioned computer labs for giving exam in online mode which is very comfortable.
In case of Online JEE Main, Students get extra time to study. For e.g. in 2018, Pen & Paper based JEE Main will be conducted on 8th April whereas students opting for Online Computer Based Exam can choose a date between 15th & 16th April. Since online exam is after pen and paper based offline exam Students get to know the paper pattern and difficulty level too.
